Sabrina Some how this band just keeps getting better with every release. Killer album. Favorite track: Lamentations of Smoke.

Dave Aftandilian Truly innovative blend of primal BM and soaring prog, with superb musicianship and incredibly tight duo playing. Legs and lungs burning, I ascend the summit. To breathe the purest air of the heavens; to view all of This World spread below.... Yet when I arrive, I see the bleeding wounds of our Mother, gaping holes we have torn in Her flesh. Sweating rage I scream a curse upon humankind, raise my fist on high, and swear to fight for Her until my dying breath. Favorite track: Nature's Wrath.

flightoficarus (Metal Trenches) It has the soul and aesthetic of early Borknagar, but with plenty of surprises along the way. Similar to classics like The Olden Domain, Giant Of The Mountain fuse icy black metal riffs and raw howls with hauntingly folky singing that seems to echo from the past. Throughout the album elements of sludge, doom, and technical black metal a la Ur Draugr add further layers of depth to the experience.
